I climb into His lap,
Between the hems of His robe,
Enfolded in His arms of grace.
I curl tightly,
Holding my knees to my chest,
As a child afraid of the dark.
It is a safe haven,
Where love does abound,
To renew a broken spirit.
Please stop the vicious cycle,
Where hurt is followed by anger,
And anger chases pain.
You created her,
You created him,
Which in turn created me.
He wipes my tears,
I feel His breath,
Upon the crown of my head.
Is it wrong my friend,
For my desire to be home,
Where joy abounds forevermore.
He whispers sweetly,
Let my strength be yours,
For the story is not finished.

A Prayer for Today
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for my life,
.
.
.
for the person you made me to be,
.
.
.
even though at times I don't understand,
.
.
.
why you made me the way you did.
.
.
.
You are my bright and morning star giving me hope beyond the despair this world often hands out. Help me my Friend to look beyond my circumstance and see clearly the cross. The cross upon which you gave your life, shed your blood, and declared, "It is finished!"
Take me to the tomb and relive what Mary saw...a body which no longer rested in death, but a body that rose just as you said it would! For which I will declare with shouts of joy, "He lives! He lives!"
Take me to the shore where Peter carried the net loaded with fish and let me be the one who gleams into the eyes of my Savior. Let me be the one to whom you ask, "Do you truly love me more than these?" For the answer will be a resounding, "YES!"
I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb! Praise God!
Amen
